Roger Federer v Marin Cilic: Anna Chakvetadze betting tip
Marin Cilic is of course lucky. Nobody expected Kei Nishikori to retire from Cilic’s previous match as his injury was not known. Federer has had a fairly simple tournament and nobody has been able to test him so far, including Steve Johnson despite a decent performance from the American. Johnson came through three rounds at Wimbledon but then ran out of steam. Therefore it is hard to judge Federer’s form right now but we should be able to tell from the moment this game starts, what kind of form the Swiss is in.
Cilic serves well and can play at the net whilst he also has a good forehand, however, he does take risks. I think he could win a set today but I am not sure if he will win the match. I believe this match will be over 39.5 games as Cilic is good at serving on grass, meaning Federer is unlikely to be able to break serve more than once per set. This match is likely to be at least four sets and thus it’s a good bet that we’ll get into the 40’s for games.
