Roberta Vinci v Angelique Kerber – Anna Chakvetadze’s Betting Tip

Right now it would appear as though Kerber is simply some kind of monster – she seemingly comes through all challenges without any problems. The head-to-head record current stands at 2:2 but they have not played each other for a long time and it is Kerber who has moved forward significantly in this time.

Vinci has a rather unusual style and often plays to the left as well as coming into the net quite a lot, although this should not cause Kerber any serious problems. Furthermore, Vinci’s serve is not particularly powerful and is impossible to compare to one such as Kvitova’s. In fact, I just do not understand how people cannot beat Roberta Vinci as she just constantly goes to the left. However, so far at this tournament her opponents have not been very strong and she was perhaps a little lucky with her draw.

It’s hard to look past the German here and I believe Kerber should win this easily. She will be more stable than Vinci in the rallies, offers a better serve and has more variety to her game. She also moves around the court with ease. I think the German will put pressure on Vinci from the off and, as far as I can see, the Italian doesn’t stand much of a chance.

Angelique Kerber just looks very good at the moment, it’s very hard to pick faults in here current game and, against somewhat lesser opposition here, the German should be able to wrap this up in less than 20 games.
