Real Sociedad look to bounce back from last weekend’s Bernabéu disappointment on Sunday evening. Fortunately for them, they host the defensively-useless Osasuna – if you could play any of La Liga’s teams right now in order to get back on the up then Osasuna would be the clear choice, that’s for sure.

On the whole, barring a few hiccups, Sociedad have enjoyed a decent campaign so far and are currently within striking distance of the Champions League spots. In facing bottom of the league opposition here, the hosts will certainly fancy their chances of regaining the winning thread and are fancied to do so in impressive fashion.

The bet that catches the eye is ‘Sociedad to Score Over 2.5 Goals’ at 6/4. Not only are Eusebio Sacristán’s men a well-oiled attacking machine, but Osasuna, with their sieve-like defence, really can be opened up quite easily.

On home soil, Sociedad have found the net 16 times, scoring at least three goals on four occasions. With the likes of Carlos Vela, Juanmi and the exciting young talent of Mikel Oyarzabal in behind a central striker who’s already scored nine goals (Willian José), the hosts have the tools to do some real damage against a side like Osasuna.

The visitors might have only shipped at least three goals on three occasions when playing away from home, but it has to be said that they’ve been lucky to avoid further heavy-defeats. They recently conceded four against a Sevilla side who were playing well below their usual standard, and were very lucky not to concede more than the one goal that they did against a wasteful Málaga side last time out. Against a Sociedad team who’ve scored three goals in 30% of their matches this season, Petar Vasiljević’s visiting team could be in for yet another tough night defensively.

It’s fair to say that Sacristan’s Sociedad aren’t going to get a better opportunity to record a convincing victory in front of their own fans this season. As a team who carry very much ‘banker’ status this Sunday, the hosts can enjoy themselves in front of goal and it’s certainly worth betting that Osasuna’s keeper – whether that be Fernández or new signing Sirigu – picks the ball out of his net at least three times.
