Real Sociedad – Barcelona. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
Barcelona have not won at San Sebastian for eight years, no matter who was in charge of the Catalan club – Tito Villanova, Gerardo Martino or Luis Enrique – Barcelona just haven’t been able to get the win, an incredible record for Real Sociedad. The Blaugrana have only taken one point from their last five games at Anoeta Stadium.
But I think that all streaks come to an end sooner or later. Real Sociedad unexpectedly won at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last week, stealing the points somewhat. So now it could be time for their fortunes to be reversed, with a loss at home looking on the cards.
I’ll be backing Barcelona to win, but as I can’t see a 1:0 score here, we go for Barcelona to win and over 1.5 goals. Barcelona are without a La Liga win in two games, and it’s doubtful that the Catalans will fail to record a victory for the third consecutive La Liga match. After all they need the three points to secure their lead.
Tonight’s opponents are tough, but Barca have the right motivation. I expect Luis Enrique’s team to win and by more than two goals here.
