Real Betis – Barcelona. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
This can be a vital game for Barcelona in the title race, because of two reasons: 1. they’ll play after both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, and 2. both Atletico and Real will have an eye on their mid week Champions League encounters. If Barcelona win in Sevilla against Real Betis, the path to yet another La Liga title will be clear ahead. Next they’ll have to play against Espanyol at Camp Nou and away against Granada. These are the games that Barca should win, and win comfortably. Real Madrid have a much tougher schedule, including games against Real Sociedad and Valencia.
Barcelona will go all out to win here. Real Betis are also in good form and their centre forward Ruben Castro is fully fit. Both teams are likely to attack and I expect a lot of goals. Lionel Messi always scores a milestone goal at Benito Villamarin, so I think we will see something special today. It’s a safe choice to go for Barcelona to win and over 3.5 goals here.
