Rayo Vallecano – Levante. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
I honestly do not understand the current murmurings about how the Rayo players deliberately surrendered against Real Sociedad last weekend. Why would they? after all, as a result of that loss they now find themselves in the midst of the relegation zone, knowing that even a final day win might not be enough to save them.
Levante, who’re already consigned to life in the second division next season, have already caused an upset when beating Atletico Madrid and depriving them of any title chance last weekend. This is unlikely to happen once more. Especially given that Levante are playing away from home, and not in front of their own fans as they were last time out.
I want to offer two bets. It’s either Rayo to win in 1st half, or Rayo to win and over 2.5 goals. The odds are quite similar. But not everything depends on them, Getafe and Sporting need to lose points against unmotivated Betis and Villarreal, which is doubtful. But nevertheless Rayo have, more often than not, been a good bet for goals at home this season, and in actual fact they’ve actually got a decent record at home in relation to some of the other sides near them in the table.
