On the face of it this might seem a pointless match – PSG are through to the knockout rounds, while Ludogorets are definitely out of the competition; however, there is still plenty to play for as the hosts look to cement their position at the top of the group, while a third-place finish for the Bulgarian outfit would mean a place in the Europa League.

Unsurprisingly, PSG have made it to the last-16 in relatively comfortable fashion, although, having said this, there is still work to be done if they want to make it there as group winners and thus it’s fancied that the French side won’t be taking game lightly.

At odds of 5/4, ‘PSG to Win & Over 3.5 Goals’ looks a good bet to be on. The hosts are undoubtedly the better of these two teams and they are fancied to show it in good style. However, although Ludogorets have proved that they’re not capable of competing at this level defensively, they’ve caused teams a few problems going forward, especially on the counter, and it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise if they registered a goal in Paris.

The visitors may have acquitted themselves well in two matches against Basel, but when facing the top two in this group they’ve struggled on each occasion. Against Arsenal they lost both times in matches that both saw more than three goals go in, while they were beaten (1-3) by PSG in the reverse of this fixture on match-day two.

The hosts know that a convincing win would see them qualify in pole-position so they really ought to release the shackles here and notch a few goals.

In terms of goals, one-man has been at the front of the queue for PSG this season. Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, having finally emerged as the central striker in the wake of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure, has been in fine form this season, scoring 19 goals in 19 matches (all-competitions). The centre-forward already has five goals in the Champions League, including two against this very opposition when they met in Sofia back in September. This match presents another excellent opportunity for Cavani to significantly add to his tally and, at odds of 15/8, ‘Cavani to Score Two or More Goals’ is a second bet to be on.
