13:00, Jul 07 2021
Novak Djokovic vs Marton Fucsovics prediction for Wednesday’s Wimbledon quarter-final clash at The All England Club in London. World number one and favorite to win the title Novak Djokovic meets with Marton Fucsovics who is ranked 48 in the world. Read on for our free prediction and betting tips.

Novak Djokovic on course for a third Grand Slam of the year

It has been an incredible season for Djokovic so far as the Serb is looking set to win the third Grand Slam of the year after bagging the Australian Open and the French Open last month.

This is Novak’s 16th participation in Wimbledon. The Serb has won the title five times and looks determined to win his sixth and 20th overall Grand Slams and tie with Nadal and Federer.

The champion of the last two editions in Wimbledon, Djokovic won all of his four matches with ease, dropping just one set in his opening match against Draper in his first grass match of the season.

Djokovic is on an incredible 32-3 win/loss record this year in what could be the best in his 18-year professional career. Novak still didn’t bring his best in the four matches he played as he breezed past his opponents we expect him to put up a gear whenever needed.

Djokovic Key Stats

  • Djokovic has played an average of 29 games per match in Wimbledon
  • 12.8 is the number of aces per match by Djokovic
  • 88% and 61% is the percentages of points won behind Novak’s 1st and 2nd serve

Marton Fucsovics is boosted with confidence after Rublev win

This is Fucsovics’s fourth participation in the Wimbledon main draw and his best result yet. He had never got beyond the second round before making the current campaign his best in any Grand Slam he has played before.

The 29-year-old has just one title to his name on clay in Geneva back in 2018. He has lost both of their meetings with Djokovic although it is interesting to note that the Hungarian won a set in each of his defeats against Novak.

Fucsovics had some very impressive wins en route to the quarters. Sinner Schwartzmann and most notably Andrey Rublev were within his casualties. In the match against Rublev Marton beat the Russian in five sets after going down 1-2 in the match.

Fucsovics Key Stats

  • The average games per match played by Fucsovics is 36.25
  • Fucsovics has hit almost 50 winners per match in Wimbledon
  • 3.3 is the number of times Fucsovics’s serve was broken

Novak Djokovic vs Marton Fucsovics Prediction

Looking at the form of Djokovic we realize that it is almost impossible for him to lose a match in Wimbledon this year unless something unexpected happens. Novak did have a rather easy path in the draw, but that’s what the advantage of being the world number one is.

We don’t see Fucsovics troubling Djokovic so much apart from winning some more games than other opponents did against the Serb.

The odds are as low as 1.02 for a Djokovic win at Vbet. the best value for a reasonable bet is the total games and total breaks market.
