- Under 2.5 goals have been notched in five of Brighton’s last six league matches.
Norwich’s miserable start
Rooted to the foot of the Premier League table following a dismal six defeats from their opening seven matches, newly-promoted Norwich are already odds-on favourites to return to the Championship at the first time of asking, and it’s easy to see why.
With just two goals notched and an eye-watering 16 conceded, Norwich hold the division’s worst goal-scoring and joint-worst defensive records and Daniel Farke’s beleaguered troops look completely devoid of confidence and quality.
Brighton showing promise
Brighton meanwhile, sit in a lofty 6th position following a strong start to the campaign and the Seagulls could and probably should be even higher in the table following a missed opportunity against Arsenal just before the international break.
Albion were held to a 0-0 draw by the Gunners at the Amex Stadium, though they racked up 21 attempts against their shadow-chasing opponents and had Brighton secured the victory they deserved they would have gone joint top alongside Liverpool.
Norwich vs Brighton Predictions
When Norwich and Brighton locked horns during the 2019/20 season, there was little to separate the sides, indeed, under 2.5 goals hit the net on each occasion (Norwich 0-1 Brighton & Brighton 2-0 Norwich).
With largely the same players on show – and the same managers in the dugout in Daniel Farke and Graham Potter – we expected margins to be just as slim at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Brighton’s games this season have been routinely low on goals, in fact, five of their last six top-flight tussles produced under 2.5 goals, and the same market is worth pursuing when the Seagulls take on shot-shy Norwich in East Anglia.
