Honeymoon period over
Two losses in a row and two points claimed from their last four matches means the honeymoon period is over for Dean Smith.
However, it was always going to be difficult for Norwich facing Tottenham and Manchester United in a row with both in mini revivals with new bosses at the helm.
Smith welcomes his former team, Aston Villa to Carrow Road with a point to prove, hoping to get Norwich back to winning ways and off the foot of the table.
“I think our system suits him really well.” ?
Steven Gerrard discussed the condition of his squad, the qualities of @EM10Buendia and @JMcGinn7 and plenty more when he caught up with the media this afternoon. ?️ #NORAVL

No points from Anfield
Villa lost to Liverpool in boss Steven Gerrard’s return to Anfield. With Liverpool on such brilliant form this shouldn’t have come as too much of a surprise.
However, the fact Villa kept Liverpool to just the one goal will be a source of encouragement and Villa will feel quietly confident that they can nullify the league’s lowest scorers.
With three out of five wins since taking charge, Gerrard will be confident of getting something out of this trip. A win could see Villa enter the top half.
Norwich vs Aston Villa predictions
Norwich’s Smith will be motivated for his former club’s visit, however, the lack of firepower is a concern and given that Villa held the league’s top scorers, Liverpool, to just one goal, they will be confident they can claim all three points.
Villa are priced at 13/10 to win and we expect them to pick up all three points here.
Norwich have gone into half-time level 63% of the time including in four of their last five matches, Villa have scored only one first half away goal. We predict that the game will be a draw at half-time with Villa going on to win the game in the second half.
