A few weeks ago it looked like Norwich had really revived their play-off hopes with four wins in five games. However, they have dipped once again and have taken just three points from a possible 15 in their last five, meaning they are now nine points behind Sheffield Wednesday in that precious 6th spot.

Alex Neil’s men’s focus is no doubt in the final third and they are the Championship’s second-highest goalscorers with an incredible 61 goals in 36 matches. Additionally, they have found the back of the net in every league match they have played in 2017. Defensively though they have been nothing but a shambles and have conceded the third-most goals in the division with 54 whilst they have not kept a clean sheet in their last seven games.

Home form has been pretty good for the Canaries over the course of the season with 36 points taken from 16 matches at Carrow Road – 68% of total points. Furthermore, although they have had to settle for draws in their last two home games, they are unbeaten in their last seven at home in all competitions.

The arrival of Tony Mowbray at Blackburn has reinvigorated the team and they have since gone on a four-match unbeaten run, dragging themselves out of the bottom three.

Former West Bromwich Albion boss Mowbray has certainly made Rovers a difficult side to break down and they have kept two clean sheets since his appointment, conceding just twice. They may not score too many but they have at least managed to find the back of the net in all of Mowbray’s first four games.

Unfortunately though, Mowbray is still yet to oversee an away win as Rovers boss which means they still have one of the worst away records in the division. Additionally, what is perhaps most alarming considering they go to free-scoring Norwich at the weekend, Blackburn have kept just one clean sheet on their travels so far this campaign.

Even though Norwich are higher in the table and have the better squad on paper, this match could really go either way considering the form book. Norwich should score a couple but Blackburn are now a lot harder to break down and, therefore, ‘2-3 Total Goals Total’ looks good here.
