Newport County v Barnet Betting Tips

Although these two sides are languishing in mid-table, we should see an exciting game at Rodney Parade – a game that should have goals on the menu.

I hope you backed my tip on Newport Town’s cup match against Plymouth Argyle in midweek. Both Teams to Score with the Plymouth win was ridiculously overpriced given the stats prior to the game.

It was the same old story for Warren Feeney’s side down at Home Park. They kept up their record of scoring in every match this season but their defence once again let them down. I imagine the former Northern Ireland striker will be experiencing another déjà vu scenario this Saturday.

On the face of it, Barnet are a less interesting side than Newport this season. However, it is worth noting that, apart from their loss at Carlisle last time out, all of the Bees’ games this season have involved two goals or more.

Like his counterpart Feeney, Barnet manager Martin Allen will be concerned by his side’s defence which has failed to keep a clean sheet in the last four matches.

The obvious bet here is ‘Both Teams To Score’. It would not matter who Newport Town were playing this weekend, you would still back that tip to come off given the Welsh side’s record. And, considering their record, 9/10 is a decent price.

I would also go for Over 2.5 goals at 11/10. A price that, given that which is mentioned above, is just too big.
