Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to bounce back in game two

Undefeated in the 2021 playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks suffered their first defeat in game one of the Eastern Conference finals at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks. Poor shooting was the main reason for the Bucks’ loss as they made just eight of 36 three-pointers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 34 points weren’t enough as coach Budenholzer’s team couldn’t finish the game in which they were slightly ahead throughout a very closely contested clash. Jrue Holiday added 33 but the usually reliable shooter Khris Middleton was disappointing missing all of his nine attempts from downtown and hitting six of 23 from the field.

Bucks Key Stats

Atlanta Hawks keep on delivering great performances

For the third time in a row, the Atlanta Hawks have won their first match of the playoff series. Unaffected by the Bucks’ home record the Hawks shocked the fans at the Fiserv Forum by putting on a great performance that saw them clinch the lead of the series by 1-0.

Trae Young proved yet again that he is one of the best players in the postseason with a huge performance scoring 48 points and helping his teammates with 11 assists. The Hawks played a very good collective game beating the best rebounding team in the playoffs with 51-45 rebounds and shooting 62% from mid-range.

Hawks Key Stats

  • 107 points is the average points scored by the Hawks in the playoffs
  • The field goal average of the Hawks in the playoffs is 44.8%
  • The Hawks are averaging 80.6% from the free-throw line

Milwaukee Bucks vs Atlanta Hawks Prediction

We had predicted correctly our both tips in game one of this series. It was a low-scoring close game and we expect the second game to be the same unless the Bucks shooters can find their form back and hit their threes.

The Bucks need to find a solution for Trae Young who continues to shine no matter who the opposition is. The Hawks seem to be very fired up and have all the capabilities to go far in this series.

We think the score will stay low though and the probability of the Bucks bouncing back in this match as we expect Middleton will have a better shooting game.
