These two sides have had very contrasting starts to the season with Manchester United flying high in second whilst Crystal Palace sit rock bottom of the table.

Manchester United cruised through their Champions League Group A match against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night, coming out 4-1 winners, which stretches their winning run to five games.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been fantastic in both boxes this season with 17 goals scored and just two conceded in six Premier League matches. United have also kept a clean sheet in all but one of their top flight outings so far this term.

United have been fantastic on home soil this campaign and have won all of their competitive matches so far. Furthermore, they have scored an impressive 17 competitive home goals and are yet to concede a Premier League goal at Old Trafford.

Palace have been woeful so far and the managerial change from Frank de Boer to Roy Hodgson has yet to have the desired effect.

The Eagles are still yet to score a Premier League goal this season – making them the only team in top flight history to not score a goal and lose their opening five matches. However, they have looked a bit better defensively in their last couple of outings with a clean sheet in their recent League Cup tie against Huddersfield and a relatively solid first half display against Manchester City.

Unsurprisingly, Palace’s away form makes dismal reading with three losses from three matches this season. Old Trafford is far from the ideal place to go to correct that.

United are the obvious favourites here and it would be a very brave person who put money on Crystal Palace to get any kind of positive result. With Christian Benteke injured for this match, I struggle to see Palace having many efforts on goal and I doubt they will score. However, one person who does look like scoring in every game at the moment is Benteke’s Belgian compatriot Romelu Lukaku. The former Everton man has found the back of the net in each of his last five competitive matches. Romelu Lukaku to Score and Manchester United to Win 2-0, 3-0 or 4-0 at 11/4 is very tempting.
