Manchester City – Real Madrid. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
It’s extremely hard to predict the winner here, especially in the 1st leg in Manchester. The one thing that we must have in mind is that Real Madrid are in the perfect form now, having five wins in a row (nine in a row in Primera), and some of those wins were dramatic. Their last game against Rayo Vallecano on April 23 was pretty tough, but even without Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema they came back from 0:2 to 3:2. We saw their character and we saw that they have a player who can lead the way when Ronaldo or Benzema are out. It’s Gareth Bale who was awesome on Saturday.
By the way, Ronaldo and Benzema are in the squad that came to Manchester, so maybe Zidane will field them both. That’s why I expect goals here. I don’t think that City are able not to concede.
Going for both teams to score is tempting but too risky. I suggest to pick 2-3 goals in total here with nice odds at 2.10. I see the scoreline 2:0 or 2:1 and maybe it’s going to be a 1:1 draw.
