Luton are having a mixed time of late with just one win in their last five league games, however, it is also worth noting that they have only lost one of those and so they are still up in 5th place, with a four-point cushion over 8th place Blackpool.

The Hatters’ back-line has been brilliant this season and they have the second-best defensive record in the league with just 33 goals conceded in 36 games and a 31% clean sheet ratio. Unfortunately for them though, they are not particularly good up front and their Goals For statistic of 53 is the worst inside the top eight whilst they have also failed to find the back of the net in their last two outings.

Nathan Jones’ side had been on a fantastic run at home with six wins in seven matches in all competitions until mid-February. However, they have failed to win at Kenilworth Road since Valentine’s Day and have lost their last two in all competitions.

Exeter currently sit in the last play-off spot but have been slipping a bit recently with just two wins in their last eight league matches. Having said that, one of those last wins came in their last match against relegation battlers Cheltenham Town so perhaps they can start another run.

In contrast to Luton, Paul Tisdale’s men are very attacking and they have found the back of the net 59 times this campaign – the second-best of the four teams in the play-off places. However, they have managed to balance this with a good defence and have kept two clean sheets in their last three. Furthermore, their Goals Against record of 43 is again the second-best of the four play-off sides.

The Grecians have been far better on their travels than they have at home this season and have the second-best away record in the division – although this is grinding to a bit of a halt recently with Exeter having won just one of their last four games away from St James’ Park.

It is interesting to note that in each of Exeter’s last three away matches, both teams have scored and there have been at least three match goals. Furthermore, four of the last five meetings between the two and the last three at Kenilworth Road mirrored this. 11/10 on ‘Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score’ is worth a go here.
