Lokomotiv Moscow – Kuban Krasnodar – Thomas Giles prediction
Lokomotiv’s quest for a Europa League spot is still very much in their own hands and they know that this match against Kuban is a must-win to keep local rivals Spartak Moscow from breathing down their neck. Until a couple of weeks ago, they had picked up some very impressive results against some of the top sides in the division
Kuban have been the laughing stock of the Premier League season having experienced both on and off the field problems. There have been problems with players getting paid, only for the club then to sign an expensive Brazilian in Felipe Santana. Just this week, experienced Ukrainian international Yevhen Seleznyov, has left the club after a falling out. He was only signed in January.
Kuban are currently four points from safety with little prospect of escaping the drop and you would expect Lokomotiv to capitalise on their dire situation which seems to be getting worse by the day.
The Railroaders are a certainty to win convincingly at home and the game should be over by 75 minutes, never mind the Moscow team merely leading at this stage of the game.
