Liverpool vs RB Leipzig: Prediction and Betting Tip
Liverpool to make up for Premier League disappointment
The reigning UEFA Champions League champions are with a great opportunity to advance to the ¼ finals. The Reds have to forget their terrible home record though as they have not won at Anfield in eight matches.
This match is played in Budapest and it is considered Liverpool’s home ground. The first leg was also played in the same venue. In the first leg, Jurgen Klopp’s team was decisive in front of the goal and that proved to be the difference between the two teams.
In the group stages, Liverpool won their group by winning four of their six matches, lost one, and drew one. In the Premier League though, The reds haven’t scored in their last three matches and conceded five goals.
Can RB Leipzig turn this around?
The 2-0 defeat of the first was not expected by Leipzig fans since their team is doing very well in the Bundesliga and Liverpool are not in their best form but lack of experience of the Leipziger had its effects on the match.
The Germans had eliminated another top English team Manchester United in the group stage, as they finished above the Red Devils in second place.
Julian Nagelsmann’s team is on an eight-match winning streak in the Bundesliga, they only lost to Liverpool during this period but surely they will put up a fight to try to overcome that first-leg defeat.
- Liverpool have not had a clean sheet in their last four matches
- Liverpool have two wins in their last five matches
- Leipzig have three clean sheets in their last four matches
- Leipzig have zero clean sheets in the Champions League this season
Liverpool vs RB Leipzig Prediction
Liverpool’s Premier league bad form has seen them slide down to eighth position and four points away from fourth place. But they proved that they can be on a different level in the UCL.
Leipzig on the other hand don’t seem to have the experience in this kind of match.
Naturally, Liverpool are the favorites to win or qualify for the next round. The odds are in favor of Liverpool to qualify, paying as low as 1.08. Leipzig will attack from the beginning and with 11 goals scored in four matches after their first-leg we believe they can score in this game.
