Controversy at Spurs

Liverpool’s six-game Premier League winning streak came to an end as they fought out a 2-2 draw against Spurs.

In an exciting match, Liverpool went behind early before equalising through Diogo Jota and then taking the lead thanks to Andrew Robertson’s 69th minute goal. Eight minutes later though Robertson was sent off for a challenge similar to Harry Kane’s earlier one which didn’t result in a red card, sparking controversy and more criticism of VAR.

Minutes before the red card, Son Heung-Min equalised for Spurs which meant Manchester City’s lead at the top of the league stretched out to three points, putting the pressure on the Reds.

Free falling Leeds

After an incredible run of never getting the same result twice in a row in the league so far, Leeds have now lost three straight games, scoring just three goals in those games while conceding 14.

Just looking at the scorelines this looks horrendous, but you also have to consider that all of those games came against sides in the top four, including title challengers, Manchester City and Chelsea, so is that much of a surprise really?

Leeds will be hoping for a Christmas miracle to get anything out of this one as they face the last remaining title contender, Liverpool.
