This match sees two Premier League sides who are on good runs of form come head-to-head as Liverpool host Crystal Palace.

Liverpool managed to extend their unbeaten run to seven last time out as they recorded a narrow 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion. This victory boosted the Reds up to 3rd with a six-point cushion inside the top four, although they are two games out of hand with 5th place Man United.

Perhaps the most surprising element of Jurgen Klopp’s side’s victory over West Brom was the fact they kept a clean sheet – their first in eight matches. However, their attacking prowess saw them through and ensured they still have the best Goals For record in the top flight with 69 scored in 33 matches.

After a huge blip at the start of 2017, home form has improved dramatically in the last few weeks with no defeats in their last six, winning four of them. They may have found the back of the net in each of their last 13 Premier League games at Anfield, however, defensively they have been poor with no clean sheet in their last four. Furthermore, no team in the top seven has conceded more goals at home than Liverpool.

After looking precariously over their shoulder for much of the campaign, Crystal Palace have recovered at just the right time to lose just one of their last seven, winning five of them. These brilliant results have pushed Palace up to 15th, seven points clear of the bottom three with momentum on their side.

As you would expect from a Sam Allardyce side, Palace have been pretty good at the back in recent times with four clean sheets in those aforementioned seven matches. Much of this is down to the performances of on-loan defender Mamadou Sakho, however, the Frenchman is not eligible to play against his parent club so it will be interesting to see how Palace cope. Allardyce’s men have also been potent in the final third on this run having found the back of the net in each of the seven games mentioned.

The Eagles lost their last match on the road against Southampton which put an end to their two-match winning streak away from home. The previously mentioned goal-scoring touch of Palace has been prevalent on their travels having scored in each of their last three.

With both of these teams on good form, this isn’t the easiest fixture to call; however, they are both very high on confidence and are scoring goals for fun, not to mention poor at the back. ‘Both Teams to Score’ looks a very sound bet at 5/6. Furthermore, the head-to-head record backs this up very well with both teams scoring in each of the last nine matches in all competitions.
