These two were the main title contenders last season but this year it has only been Spurs who attempted to challenge Chelsea. Now that the title race is over and Leicester are destined for mid-table, this match is a bit of a dead rubber.

Leicester’s two-match winning streak came to an end on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at Manchester City. However, the fact they were putting pressure on the hosts in the second half and had a penalty disallowed shows how good, and perhaps unlucky, they were. Next season will hopefully be an improvement for Leicester after a disappointing one this time round, in the league at least.

The Foxes had been in good form in both boxes prior to their match against City with four goals scored and none conceded. In terms of attacking, this decent form actually continued at the weekend as, as previously mentioned, they managed to score and put pressure on the opponents goal. Additionally, in terms of matches against top four sides, Leicester have found the back of the net in five of their seven games against them this season. Conversely though, they have also failed to keep a clean sheet, conceding an astonishing 16 in those seven.

Form at The King Power Stadium was essentially the reason why Leicester won the league last year and, this season, is the reason why they are staying up with 77% of their 43 total points being earned on home turf. Furthermore, they are yet to lose a home match in all competitions under new coach Craig Shakespeare, winning all five of the Premier League ones, conceding just twice in the process.

Tottenham gave their home ground of White Hart Lane a great send off on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Manchester United. Spurs are now guaranteed 2nd place but will want to keep their decent momentum going into next season by finishing this one strongly.

As you would expect from a side challenging for the title, Spurs have been magnificent at both ends of the pitch but particularly at the back with their record of just 24 conceded and 47% clean sheet ratio the best in the league. Having said that, after four consecutive shutouts in the league, Tottenham have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last two.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have certainly been better on home turf than they have been away with 66% of their points being earned at White Hart Lane. However, although they lost their last away match at West Ham, Spurs had been on a good run until then with three straight away victories, scoring six and conceding just once in that time. However, Tottenham’s usually-reliable defence has been a bit exposed on their travels this campaign with just five clean sheets kept in 17 attempts.

Leicester may have been excellent at home this campaign, however, their general record against the better teams in the division has not been good and, with Spurs being one of the more elite sides in the top four, I do not think the Foxes will cause an upset here. Despite this, their excellent attacking displays at home means they have a good chance of finding the net against a Spurs team who have let a couple in lately. All in all, the visitors should have the quality to come out on top, but they’re fancied to so without a clean sheet. ‘Tottenham Hotspur to Win & Both Teams to Score’ is worth a go at 5/2.
