This is a derby and one of the few MLS derbies along with Portland v Vancouver and maybe one or two others that the people really care about. The Galaxy are heavy favourites here, they are one point clear at the top of the table. The Quakes have taken seven points from the last eight games, Galaxy – eight from the last four games. I appreciate that LA are very good at home, but I don’t know if they are as great as made out to be, and, although they should win this, I think we can expect a low-scoring game. Therefore the play here is under 2.5 goals at 7/5.
The Quakes have seen an under 2.5 goals outcome in both of their last two away games, and I think they are pretty good defensively. Knowing that it’s a derby I expect a little more caution than usual.
