Juventus – Bayern Munich. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
Just after the Champions League draw, I was asked about the favourite of this pair. So I’ve picked Bayern Munich. Now they are still my first choice but it’s not so obvious. The balance of powers are different now. Juventus improved their form being in winning streak of 15 games. They lost points just in the last game against Bologna. But I guess, they had in mind the upcoming game against Bayern Munich.
I don’t expect a lot of goals here. Juventus are able to defend carefully. Their matches vs AC Milan, Napoli and AS Roma proved that. But they wouldn’t attack that much against Bayern Munich. The Germans were not perfect against Darmstadt 98, but we can’t make any conclusions based on that single game. I think that both teams would keep in mind the fact that there will be the second leg. My first prediction was – Juventus to win or draw, but the odds are too low. So we can go for total match goals under 2.5.
