Hungary vs France: Predictions and Betting Tips
Hungary opened their Euro campaign with a heavy 3-0 defeat against Portugal. Interestingly, all three goals came in the last eight minutes of the match.
The Hungarians should seek to take advantage of playing in their own country and in the only venue which will be at full capacity, resulting in more than 60000 live spectators.
It has been almost 50 years since Hungary last beat France, which was back in 1971.
The French showed in their debut why they are the favourites to win the Euros. In their opener they beat another of the favourites, Germany, 1-0.
Although it was not the best attacking game for the French, they showed that they are also strong in defense, preventing the Germans from getting a goal past them or doing any damage.
The match was a great opening performance for players such as N’Golo Kanté, Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann and the consistent Killian Mbappé.
- Only one defeat for Hungary among their last 12 matches
- Three of Hungary’s last five games have ended with over 2.5 total match goals
- Eight consecutive matches without losing for France, comprising seven wins and one draw
- Five consecutive matches without conceding goals for France
Hungary vs France Predictions
Despite the fact that the Hungarians will be playing at home and with a full house of fans, there is a gulf between the two sides’ playing abilities. The French are at a much higher level, not only when attacking, but in all areas of play. We suspect that Hungary may struggle to even get a shot at goal.
With the star-quality players of Killian Mbappé, Karim Benzema, Antoine Griezmann in the forward line and the attacking of Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kanté and Adrien Rabiot, etc. we fully expect the French side to put away at least three goals.
