Hull City – Derby County – Thomas Giles prediction
Hull recorded a convincing 3-0 win over the Rams away at the iPro stadium on Saturday, as predicted in my pre-match tip. This of course has virtually guaranteed them a spot in the play-off final at Wembley.
However, as outlined in my first leg tip, Hull’s manager Steve Bruce is incredibly experienced and will know that his side must finish the job at the KC Stadium. The Tigers’ only injury worry is goalkeeper Allan McGregor but Eldin Jakupovic is a more than capable deputy.
Derby really have to go for it and will look to attack from the off. Despite this I think Hull, who had the joint second-best defence in the regular season, will be able to resist the bombardment and should once again come out on top.
I am surprised by the generosity of the odds on a Hull City win so I would advise punters to keep it simple and go with this.
