These two sides are both hoping to make the play-off spots this season. They are both inside the top six at the moment but a slip-up could cost them dear.

Huddersfield do still have a mathematical chance of making the automatic promotion spots, however, with Newcastle seven points ahead of them, it looks unlikely. The Terriers have had a bit of a slump recently with three defeats in four matches but are now seemingly back on track with no defeats in their last two.

Although David Wagner has brought quite an exciting philosophy to Huddersfield, it is worth mentioning that they are the lowest scorers in the top seven with just 54 in 42 matches. Having said that, they have had their shooting boots on recently with four goals in their last two games. Defensively though, there are problems with just one clean sheet in their last six Championship matches.

The Terriers have been excellent at the John Smith’s Stadium throughout the campaign and have the third-best home record in the league with 47 points taken from 21 games. This home form shows no sign of letting up toward the end of the season having won two of their last two, scoring three times in each match.

Fulham have been on a tremendous run which has meant they have clawed themselves into the top six and, right now, they look unbeatable.

The Cottagers certainly focus on the attacking side of their game and it is no surprise that they are the Championship’s top scorers with an incredible 78 goals scored. They have found the back of the net in each of their last 14 league matches and scored at least three goals in each of their last three. However, there are concerns at the back with just one clean sheet in their last 12 and even that came against already-relegated Rotherham United.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s men have been very good on their travels recently with four wins and just one loss in their last six matches away from Craven Cottage. They have also scored the joint-most away goals in the Championship this campaign.

With Fulham so good going forward and Huddersfield’s defence especially ropey in recent times, we are likely to see goals here. With this being such a high pressure match for those vital play-off spots, the result is hard to call but the probability of both attacking is not. ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ is the bet to go for here.
