An upwardly mobile Fulham welcome a struggling Nottingham Forest to Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

Having treated their supporters to a dramatic late victory at the weekend, the hosts will be looking to kick-on against opposition who’ve been well off the pace of late.

Given the attacking football on show at Fulham this season, coupled with the number of goals they’ve scored, it is perhaps a little bit surprising that they find themselves six points off the play-off places. However, there’s still plenty of football to be played before May and this forward-thinking side can certainly stake a claim for a place in the top-six, starting by doing the business against a defensively poor Forest side.

At odds of 13/10 & 9/5, ‘Fulham to Score in Both Halves’ and ‘Fulham to Score 2.5 Goals’ are the two angles of attack at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

Slaviša Jokanović’s side, despite winning their fair share, might not be the most reliable when it comes to securing three points, but they’re certainly capable of scoring plenty of goals. Having found the opposition net on no less than 49 occasions, Fulham are the Championship’s fourth highest scorers.

In front of a home crowd, they’ve been able to play some of their best attacking football and, with the likes of Floyd Ayité, Stefan Johansen and Sone Aluko in their ranks, The Cottagers offer plenty of forward-creativity, while their main man up top (Chris Martin) certainly knows the way to goal.

With 28 home goals to their name, it’s no surprise that this Fulham side have been involved in plenty of high-scoring matches at Craven Cottage. They might have only scored three goals on three occasions at home this season, but they face a Forest side who’ve been leaking goals at an alarming rate and could very easily fill their boots.

In addition, Jokanović’s men have scored at least once before and after the half-time break on seven occasions on their own patch. Considering that Forest have the Championship’s second highest ‘goals conceded’ total away from home, as well as conceding at least once in each half on seven occasions, it would be no surprise if Fulham notched either side of half-time for the eighth time at Craven Cottage when these two meet.

Watching their side play on the road really has brought very little joy to Nottingham Forest fans this season. They’ve won just twice, losing 11 of their other 14, and have scored just 17 goals. In conceding 33, they’ve defended poorly for pretty much the entirety of the campaign and are expected to find it very hard to keep an attack who’ve scored nine goals in their last three home matches at bay here.

Ultimately, having notched three at home last time out, Fulham continue to flex their attacking muscles, while Forest, having shipped five against Norwich on Saturday, just cannot stop conceding at the moment. Needless to say, the goals are expected to arrive for the home side at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.
