At the start of the campaign, it looked as though it would be another tough season for Bremen fans as their side looked to have picked up where they left off by conceding far too many goals and just generally struggling in matches. However, since taking over in September, Alexander Nouri has slowly but surely turned things around and Die Grün-Weißen are now hard to face, so much so that they look somewhat overpriced ahead of this away match against a decent Freiburg side.

Although Freiburg are a useful outfit, at the prices, it’s well worth taking a punt on ‘Werder Bremen Draw No Bet’ at 13/10. The visitors have been in excellent form of late, taking some notable scalps such as Leipzig and Mainz as they continue to climb the table.

Defensively, this Bremen side have improved no end over the last few months. Having conceded just two goals in their last five Bundesliga fixtures, the visiting back-line looks in good shape, while the players at the other end – the likes of Max Kruse, Zlatko Junuzović and the exciting Serge Gnabry – have done an excellent job in scoring ten goals during this time.

Freiburg have acquitted themselves well this season and, as a result, find themselves sat in a rather lofty 8th position; however, their form of late has been patchy at best and they’re starting to concede a few too many goals without getting enough in reply. No clean sheet in their last five at home will be something of a worry for manager Christian Streich, as will the volume of goals conceded during this period (8).

This could quite easily be the sort of game that will be decided by quality in the final third and, quite frankly, Bremen appear to have more of it. The visiting side have been scoring goals on a regular basis and appear to have a few more viable options when it comes to finding a way through. A 3-0 win against previous league leaders Leipzig last time out will have surely fueled Nouri’s side with plenty of confidence and, at what looks too big a price, Bremen are well worth supporting on the ‘Draw No Bet’ market.
