Everton vs Wolverhampton: Prediction and Betting Tips
Everton looking to give their fans something to cheer about
Carlo Ancelotti’s team couldn’t find the consistency needed to finish in the top four. The Toffees welcome some of their fans for this match at Goodison Park. Everton have a very slim chance of finishing in the top six which would see them play in the Europa League next season. Ancelotti’s men will play for the win nonetheless, to give their fans something to cheer about on the stands.
Hopefully, Everton fans will help their team overcome their woeful form at Goodison Park in recent matches. The Blues have lost four of their last seven home matches. The Italian Boss’s attackers have been out of form in front of goal as they have scored just twice in their last four games, Defensively though The Toffees have kept three clean sheets in the last five games.
Wolverhampton playing for their pride
Wolves are having a strong end-of-season finish. Nuno Espirito’s team picked up ten points in six games as they have won three matches and drew one. The Visitors have conceded first in three of their last four matches, having managed to open the scoring in just 27% of their away matches this season. Espirito’s team lost two back-to-back matches three times this season, he wouldn’t want this match to be their fourth.
In their Last match, Wolves lost to Tottenham 2-0. The lack of defensive discipline by Wolves was seen through the number of chances that Tottenham created. Spurs had 24 shot attempts with 13 of them on target. Rui Patricio at goal had a great game for Wolves saving 11 of the attempts that were on goal.
- Everton have won two of their last eight matches
- Wolves have won three of their last eight matches
- Everton have lost three of their last four home matches
- Wolves have won two of their last four matches
Everton vs Wolverhampton Prediction
Carlo Ancelotti thinks his team deserved a better position on the Premier League table. But the Italian’s team were faced with too many ups and downs during the season. Now they have a slight chance of qualifying for Europe but they have to win both their remaining matches and wait for West Ham to slip up.
We think Everton will be more fired up to win this game. The Toffees beat their visitors in the opposite fixture back in January and we think they are capable of repeating that feat.
For our secondary prediction, we are backing for this match to be a low-scoring game.
