Everton vs Norwich City Predictions and Betting Tips
Everton licking their wounds
It’s been a hugely frustrating week for Rafa Benitez and his injury-stricken Toffees and after Everton were given the runout around in a 3-0 reverse at Aston Villa last Saturday, a humiliating Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Championship outfit QPR followed in midweek.
With a shallow pool of available players to choose from, Benitez was forced to field half a dozen first-choice performers at Loftus Road and with a short turnaround between fixtures, Everton could be a little jaded for their Premier League clash with Norwich on Saturday.
Dynamic duo Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are expected to be absent from Everton’s patched-up frontline against the Canaries, which should mean that new signing Salomon Rondon starts for the third time on the spin.
? | “I am going to give my absolute all to keep hold of the shirt. There is no way this chance is going to pass me by, or I am going to fail because of lack of effort.”

Norwich City rock bottom again
Unfortunately for Norwich City supporters, the sight of their team propping up the rest in the Premier League is an all too familiar one. The Canaries have lost five out of five matches since their promotion from the second tier and another swift return to the Championship already looks certain.
Daniel Farke’s beleaguered troops didn’t enjoy any respite in midweek when they were thumped 3-0 at home by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, though there were at least some slivers of promise in City’s performance, despite the one-sided result.
Farke deployed Norwich in a 3-5-2 system against Liverpool on Tuesday and the German coach might be tempted to stick with the same formation against the Reds’ Merseyside rivals at Goodison Park.
Everton vs Norwich City Key Stats:
- Norwich have lost 100% of their Premier League fixtures this season.
- Everton won both of their first two Premier League home assignments of the new campaign.
- Both teams have scored in three of Everton’s five league matches this term.
- Norwich notched consolation goals in two of their last three league fixtures.
Everton vs Norwich Predictions
Norwich have looked despairingly abject in the opening exchanges of the new season and even with their injury worries considered, Everton look a short price to condemn the Canaries to their sixth straight defeat. It could be worth taking both teams to score as a secondary bet however. The Toffees have yet to keep a clean sheet at Goodison Park and City could net a consolation.
