England vs Scotland: Predictions and Betting Tips

England
The English opened with a narrow win over the Croatians. It was not the best game in attack for England but they showed a good level defensively with the help of Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier, John Stones and Tyrone Mings.
Given their status as one of the favourites to win this Euro and with the expectation of their physical superiority over most teams, the English must now up their game against more defensive teams such as Croatia as this nearly proved their undoing in their previous match.
England have not lost to Scotland since 1999.
Scotland
Scotland made their debut in this year’s Euros with a defeat against the Czechs in front of home fans. Not much was expected of the Scots in this tournament but their performance in their first match still failed to impress.
Andrew Robertson, Scotland’s captain and one of the best left-backs in the world was one of the few saving graces of the scottish team.
Key Stats
- Seven consecutive wins for England
- England have only conceded one goal in their last seven matches
- Two wins, two draws and one defeat for Scotland in their last five games
- Scotland have conceded at least one goal in four of their last five games
England vs Scotland Predictions
We see no other outcome in this match than a decisive victory for England. They are playing at home at Wembley, are far superior collectively, and have lots of individual talent to fall back on if things aren’t going well and they find themselves in a deadlocked game. Also, they have a very good record, having conceded only one goal in the last seven games.
We foresee a game in which Scotland will have no choice but to go for the points, which could create a lot of space for England’s quick counter-attacking players, so we think this game could have more than 2.5 goals total.
