Having drawn 1-1 last week, this Europa League tie is finally balanced ahead of the second-leg in Belarus. Minsk will probably be happier with their first-leg effort as they secured an away-goal but, with the score-line at 1-1, anything is possible. The Macedonians, who equalised late in the day last week, are likely to be confident of getting on the score-sheet here and could very easily outperform their long odds.

With their away goal, and the fact that they’re now on home soil, Dinamo Minsk are warm favourites ahead of this match and it’s fairly hard to argue with that. However, at the prices, neither team makes too much appeal. Instead, ‘Both Teams to Score’, at generous-looking 8/5, is the best option.

As they managed to both score and create numerous chances away from home against this opposition, the hosts should be confident of once again finding the net; however, it would be no surprise if they were to once again concede. Not only did their opposition create more than enough chances last week, but the side from Belarus have conceded in three of their last four at home and come into this fixture with a particularly poor defensive record in this competition, especially at home. Since 2015, Dinamo Minsk have played ten Europa League matches at home and have managed to keep just three clean sheets with only one in their last seven. What’s more, they caved under the pressure last week and, on that performance, it would be hard to feel confident about them keeping their opponents at bay here, even if they are fancied to find the net themselves (which they are). After all, you’d have to go all the way back to Europa League qualification this time last year to see the last time that they failed to find the net at Dinamo Stadium.

Although it did take the Macedonian side until the 93rd minute to register last week, they created the chances to find the net well before that, especially in the first-half. Both the fact that they did eventually score and the fact that they created sufficient openings throughout the match should leave them feeling confident about getting an away-goal of their own here. In all honesty, given the manner in which they defended last week, coupled with the fact that they’ve conceded in all but one of their six away Europa League matches since 2015, they’re going to need to score to stand any chance of going through. As mentioned above, they’re certainly capable of finding the net and have scored in each of their last five away fixtures.

All things considered, given the open nature of the first-leg, where both teams found scoring opportunities fairly easy to come by, a price of 8/5 on ‘Both Teams to Score’ here is extremely generous and is well worth taking advantage of.
