Crusaders – Cliftonville. Laure James’ prediction
Sky Sports, Sunday Mirror, UEFA, Sunday Times football reporter Laure James gives her view on the upcoming Northern Ireland Premiership game between Crusaders and Cliftonville.
The North Belfast derby between Crusaders and Cliftonville is this Boxing Day’s titan clash, and promises to be a huge occasion.
Champions Crusaders have opened up an eight-point gap and this is Cliftonville’s best opportunity to shrink it. It won’t be your typical tight derby though, both teams will be gunning for goals. Ladbrokes have over 3.5 available at 1.75.
If that’s not tasty enough, we’re tipping Jordan Owens to beat the all-time club goalscoring record and contribute to an overall score of 2-1. He’s currently level with Glenn Hunter, on 175 goals, but netting against the Reds to smash that record would be the stuff of fantasy. Let’s see him make it a reality. Correct score of 2-1 is a cracking 7.0.
