Sunday sees another Old Firm derby in the Scottish Premiership as soon-to-be champions Celtic host city rivals Rangers at Celtic Park.

Celtic have had a brilliant season so far and are 27 points clear of Aberdeen in 2nd place having dropped points just once all season, suffering no defeats.

Unsurprisingly, Brendan Rodgers’s team have been sublime in both boxes with 73 scored and just 16 conceded in their 27 league matches. Additionally, the recent goal they conceded against St. Mirren in the cup was the first they had conceded in four games.

The Bhoys, again unsurprisingly, have been fantastic at home having won 100% of their matches at Celtic Park and have not conceded in their last seven league games on home soil.

After expectations of challenging Celtic for the title this season, Rangers season has gone rather awry and they currently sit in 3rd, six points of Aberdeen and still without a new manager at time of writing. At least they managed to win a game in the league recently after gaining one points from a possible 12 in the four prior to that win against St. Johnstone.

Defence has been the major problem for Gers in the last few weeks and they have not kept a clean sheet in the Premiership for five matches and overall have let in 32 in their 27 matches. They have been okay going forward recently but, by Rangers standards, 37 in 27 (fourth best in the league) is not good enough.

Away form has been abysmal for Rangers recently having lost their last three on the road by an aggregate score of 8-3. Furthermore, they have only kept one clean sheet in their last nine league matches away from Ibrox. Overall, they have taken just 18 points from 14 matches – again not good enough.

Celtic are heavy favourites here and rightly so. The bet that stands out is ‘Celtic to Win -2 Handicap’ at 13/5. When these two met at Celtic Park earlier in the season, Celtic came out on top by five goals to one and could quite easily showcase the difference in class by winning comfortably. Elsewhere, as is often the case with Old Firm matches, cards are usually a good bet. ‘4-6 Total Cards’, at 8/5, is the selection.
