The previous leg of this match finished in a 1-1 in what was a fantastic result for a Celtic side against a decent Astana team. Brendan Rodgers side not only managed to avoid defeat but also saw them leave Kazakhstan with a precious away goal. They will now go back to Celtic Park confident of seeing this tie through in front of a partisan crowd.

What made Celtic’s result even more impressive was the fact that their squad was decimated by injuries, however, the Glaswegians are likely to welcome back new signing Kolo Toure while midfielder Stefan Johansen has also recovered in time for the match. Although these are of course bonuses, many members of the Celtic squad, particularly at the back, are unavailable through injury.

Astana will take solace from the fact they were not beaten in the first leg, despite conceding that vital away goal, and will head to Glasgow knowing that an away goal of their own puts this tie on its head. Domestically they are still seven points clear at the top of the league despite their weekend match being postponed.

I am unable to pick a winner here as I think Astana could surprise a few whilst to go against Celtic at Celtic Park would be unwise. Therefore I have gone with Both Teams to Score at 6/5.

With the Celtic squad once again depleted by injuries, especially in defence, I would back Astana to score. However, I also think Celtic will have enough firepower to find the back of the net with their passionate home support will help them in doing so.
