Celta Vigo – Granada. Valeri Karpin’s prediction
Celta Vigo are now sat comfortably in 6th place in La Liga and it’s looking more and more likely that they will be playing European football next year. The hosts are in good form, and are now unbeaten in their last six games.
On the other hand, Granada also feel highly motivated since they are fighting for survival in Primera. Since the arrival of Jose Gonzalez they’ve taken 13 points from nine games (W3, D4, L2) and are now are one point above the danger zone. The visitors are likely to come here and give everything, which should make for both an entertaining game and a tough task for the hosts.
Granada also have good head-to-head stats against Celta. They generally seem to play out draws when meeting, although the previous game between these two earlier in the season resulted in a Celta win, but tonight I think that Granada, who have more to fight for, look capable of securing a point.
