Caroline Wozniacki v Anastasia Sevastova – Anna Chakvetadze’s Betting Tip
Tomorrow Caroline Wozniacki will play Anastasia Sevastova – a player who has surprised almost everybody at this tournament by coming so far. However, despite Anastasia’s impressive performances to reach this stage of the competition, I think Caroline should come through. Her ranking has dropped recently and she will want to go as far as possible in order to score points to improve. If this is her goal then she is unlikely to get a better opportunity to reach a semi-final of a major tournament. In reality, Wozniacki should win this match in two sets.
Sevastova has minor problems with her attack and feels insecure at the net, however, she counters this with her clever tactics. Having said this, Carolina is a player who doesn’t back down, she’s always fighting to the last ball and is very difficult to beat. Players need to take risks in order to put the Dane in an uncomfortable situation and i’m not sure this will suit Sevastova. The Latvian does have a variety of attacks in her locker but it seems to me that she does not have enough experience and perhaps lacks the self-confidence, which will cause her to be nervous, to come through her first quarter final.
