On the face of it, this Premier League match between the two Albions may seem like one of the more bland affairs, however, fortunately for punters, this makes it one of the more easy matches to predict.

After losing their opening two matches of the season, Brighton picked up a bit in their following duo of matches before the international break with a win against Barnet in the League Cup before securing a draw at Watford in the league.

The most pleasing factor for manager Chris Hughton about these victories will be that his side kept clean sheets in both of them. This means their excellent defensive record from last season (the joint-best in the Championship) is starting to emerge once again. However, the fact that Brighton failed to land a much-needed striker on deadline day will be disheartening to a team who have failed to score a Premier League goal so far this term.

The Seagulls lost their first ever Premier League match on home soil but that hardly came as a surprise as they went down to title hopefuls Manchester City. In fact, credit must be given to Brighton as they certainly played their part in a tight affair. Brighton’s home form was a key factor in their promotion campaign last term and, before that loss to Manchester City, they had suffered just two competitive defeats at the AMEX Stadium since 20th September 2016.

West Brom are currently perched up in fifth after two wins and a draw in their opening three Premier League matches of the season.

Perhaps it does get a bit tiresome to keep repeating it, but it must be noted that Tony Pulis’ side are certainly more famed for their defensive strength rather than their attacking flair. This is demonstrated by the fact they have scored just three goals so far this term (the worst Goals For total in the top seven) but conceded just once (the second-best record in the division).

The Baggies certainly take the majority of their points on home soil and the Achilles heel of their away form has troubled them for a long time. They did win their only away match of the season so far a couple of weeks ago but, prior to that, they had failed to record an away victory in this calendar year.

This is likely to be a tight game and I doubt there will be too many chances for either side. Neither side have an out-and-out goalscorer whilst both are confident in their defensive abilities so Under 1.5 Goals Total looks a good bet at 43/25.
