Brentford’s struggles continue
Brentford’s winless streak increased to five games last weekend after an exciting 3-3 draw away to Newcastle.
However, after a bright start to the season, Brentford could see themselves pulled into a relegation fight if they don’t start to pick up wins soon.
Brentford’s last three games have all come against sides in the bottom three, yet Brentford have picked up just one point out of nine.

Off-form Everton
Everton’s struggles continue in much the same way as Brentford’s. Just like Brentford, Everton started off very well but now find themselves winless in six.
Their two draws accumulated during this time places Everton dead last in the form table, scoring a league low four goals during this time while conceding 12.
To make matters worse, Everton will be missing Richarlison this week as he’s picked up enough yellow cards to warrant a suspension.
Brentford vs Everton predictions
In a fixture against two of the off-form sides in the league it is difficult to see where the goals are going to come from. This is despite Brentford scoring three last time out against Newcastle.
Although Brentford have conceded the most first half goals so far, Everton have really struggled in front of goal of late. Out of their four goals scored in their last six games, one of these has come in the first half.
If there are going to be goals, we believe these will come in the second half so we predict there will be no goals in the first half.
While both sides are really struggling for form currently, Everton’s competition has been tougher. Brentford have leaked eight goals in their last three matches, all against the bottom three. Due to this we believe the Toffees can score at least one and this may be enough for an Everton win.
Brentford vs Everton team news
Brentford team news
Kristoffer Ajer, Yoane Wissa, Mads Bech Sorensen, Josh Dasilva and David Raya all remain out.
However, Shandon Baptiste returned from injury last week and Zanka and Mathias Jensen could return against Everton.
Everton team news
Richarlison and Mason Holgate are both suspended for this one.
Demarai Gray came off injured against Manchester City, however, the injury is not as bad as first feared. He could feature in this game, if not then Alex Iwobi is competing for his spot.
Salomon Rondon will likely replace Richarlison. Abdoulaye Doucoure trained on Thursday, but it is uncertain whether this will be enough to make the matchday squad.
