Eintracht finished last season in fifth place. The season was bittersweet, as despite qualifying for the Europa League they could have finished the league in a higher position, only for Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund to take away their chances.

Eintracht have suffered a major loss for the new season, as their best player of the last two seasons, André Silva, has left for Red Bull Leipzig for a fee of 23 million. André scored 45 official goals in his two seasons in Frankfurt.

Dortmund come into this game after a good pre-season and despite the departure of Jadon Sancho they are still an incredibly talented team with players like Erling Haaland, Marco Reus, Jude Bellingham, Giovanni Reyna etc. Eintracht’s squad is not bad either, but they have lost their best player, Andre Silva, who took charge of scoring goals, and so may have a weakness here. In addition, the game is played at Signal Iduna Park, which makes Dortmund even more likely to take the three points.
