Berdych vs Nishikori. Anna Chakvetadze’s prediction
She’s a famous Russian tennis player, former number five in the WTA rankings, her career high. She won eight WTA tournaments and is now a respected TV commentator at Eurosport and a pundit at the Bookmaker Ratings. Today, Anna Chakvetadze is giving her view on a Tuesday match between Tomas Berdych and Kei Nishikori at Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2015.
Kei Nishikori and Tomas Berdych both didn’t look well in the opening match. The Japanese player had really nothing to oppose Novak Djokovic. Kei complained that Novak would get all the balls back. But I think, Nishikori simply doesn’t have enough physical strength to give Djokovic any problems.Berdych was giving his best in the first set against Roger Federer, but lost it. In the second set, the Swiss player was unstoppable.
Nishikori has an advantage over Berdych in personal encounters; however, it hardly means anything as they haven’t played against each other for a time. I would like to notice that Nishikori played very little recently due to injuries. And obviously, he is far from best conditions. I think Berdych is a favorite despite not showing good form with Federer. He likes to play indoor. He has got physical game that allows him to look good at fast courts. And his condition seems to be better than Nishikori’s. At least Berdych gave some difficult time for Djokovic in Paris. I suggest betting on the Czech.
