Having been handed a real beating in the Champions League during mid-week, the pressure will be on Barcelona to perform in La Liga on Sunday night. Fortunately for the hosts, they face a Leganés side who’ve been sucked back into the relegation scrap after performing very poorly of late. Enrique’s men are essentially out of the Champions League now but they’re fancied to record a convincing victory here in order to remain in the domestic title race.

The bet that appeals most ahead of this one is ‘Barcelona to Score Over 3.5 Goals’ at odds of 13/10. That abysmal showing in Paris on Tuesday night should have given Messi & Co. a real wake-up-call and they really ought to be determined to bounce back in style in this one.

On home soil this season, as is to be expected, the hosts have scored plenty of goals (26 in total) and have done particularly well against the lesser teams. In five matches against teams from the bottom half of the table, Barcelona have scored 16 goals. On top of this, recent home matches have yielded plenty of goals for Enrique’s side too – they’ve now scored 17 goals in their last five at Camp Nou (all-competitions). Given Leganés’ defensive displays of late, it’s certainly not hard to envisage a Barcelona side – who should be fired up – filling their boots.

From a defensive viewpoint, Leganés have really struggled of late, especially on the road. Asier Garitano’s men come into this fixture having conceded in each of their last nine away fixtures. They might have only conceded four goals in one of their away matches this season, but against a Barcelona side who’ll be itching to get back to normal, the visitors are going to be in for a very tough evening.

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for Leganés right now, the last thing they need is a trip to the Camp Nou to face a Barca side who’re baying for blood.
