After securing a convincing 3-0 victory in Turin last week, Juventus hold all the aces ahead of this second-leg. Even though Barcelona are expected to put up more of a fight on their own patch, the visitors are in such a commanding position that they really ought to be putting this one to bed.

Everyone will of course be pointing to the Spaniards somewhat ridiculous turnaround against PSG in the previous round; however, Juventus are a team renowned for their defensive nous and are highly unlikely to allow the hosts an easy ride.

The two bets that stand out ahead of this match are ‘Juventus +1 Handicap’ and ‘Juventus to Score Over 1.5 Goals’. Considering the form Barcelona have been in, it’s hard to see why they’re such overwhelming favourites for this tie. They may well have pulled off a remarkable comeback against PSG in their last Champions League match at Camp Nou, but, as the old saying goes, lighting doesn’t strike twice.

Quite frankly, Barcelona are not in a good place right now. The problems have been there for some time and they really are struggling to perform anywhere near their best. Enrique’s men were woeful in Turin last week and even though they beat Real Sociedad 3-2 at the weekend, their performance was far from convincing. A wily Juventus side are expected to take advantage for the second time in eight days.

Although they should be more than capable of coming into this match and causing the hosts plenty of problems, especially on the counter, if ever there’s a side who can confidently protect a lead it’s Juventus. The Italian giants are renowned for their solidity and come here with an experienced back-line that has conceded just two goals in the Champions League this season. In addition, Massimiliano Allegri’s side are one of only two teams in the competition who’re still unbeaten.

From a goals perspective, although they aren’t the biggest scorers in general, with Barcelona having to throw everything at this, Juventus should be able to hit the hosts on the break with relative ease. With the pace of both Cuadrado and Dybala, it’s impossible to rule out yet more goals for the Italian side, in fact, further goals seem likely. After all, Allegri’s men made light work of scoring three last week and, at odds of 47/20, are well worth backing to add another couple on the break in this match.

Barcelona may have written themselves into history with that comeback in the last-16, but they’ve ridden their luck as far as it will take them and are fully expected to crash out of the competition here against a strong Juventus side.
