Barcelona v Sevilla. Alexander Vishnevskiy’s prediction
The matches between these two have seen lots of goals lately. 5:4 was the score in Tbilisi, when Barcelona won the European Super Cup. As for league games this season, they ended with a 2:1 advantage of a home team. This was the first Unai Emery’s win over Barcelona in 26 games, by the way.
In that game Messi was injured and Barcelona failed to oppose Sevilla without him. Now, everyone in Barcelona is safe and sound, even forward Sandro and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo. These two won’t play, though.
I think that the exchange of goals is likely this time, as well, even though Barcelona won the last five matches of the league with a total score of 24:0. But there is an importan factor – Sevilla may be a bit tired after the final of the Europa League. Therefore, the Catalans can still keep the clean sheet.
Given this, I want to offer the following bets. There are very good odds at 4.40 that there will be a draw in the first half, but Barcelona will win the second. There’s a trend that Sevilla and Barcelona score more goals after the break.
If you want a less risky bet, you could also try betting “highest scoring half – 2nd.” It’s highly likely this bet will win, given that Sevilla will get tired in the second half, and Barcelona will use that. The depth of Sevilla’s roster is not particularly big, and we will see the same players that won the Europa League.
