Amkar Perm – Ufa – Thomas Giles prediction
This match is a boring game on paper given the lack of entertaining football played by either side over the course of the season. However, both of these sides are threatened with relegation so this is an important match.
The home side have had a hard time in the last couple of months and have not recorded a victory since their 1-0 win away at Anzhi with their last home coming the week before that against Dinamo Moscow.
Ufa’s form has been similarly bad in recent matches although their last win was much more recent than Amkar’s (17th April again against Anzhi). They are also capable of scoring goals, albeit not many, as proved in their last match against high-flying CSKA and midtable Rubin Kazan.
With this being the case I would back Ufa to inflict even more damage on Amkar and pull themselves away from the relegation spots, temporarily…
