Neither of these sides have very much left to play for with both of them seemingly safe in the Premier League for another season. A fantastic achievement for both clubs.

Bournemouth have managed to recover from a two-match losing streak to win two and draw one of their last three matches, pushing them up to 11th in the table.

The Cherries have been absolutely fantastic going forward this campaign having found the back of the net 52 times in just 36 games – more than Manchester United in 5th and more than anybody else outside the top seven. However, this open and expansive playing style means that Bournemouth are incredibly vulnerable at the back and their Goals Against record of 65 is the third-worst in the league and even worse than already-relegated sides Sunderland and Middlesbrough. Having said that, perhaps there is a sign of change in this department with two clean sheets in their last three.

The Vitality Stadium is the smallest ground, in terms of capacity, to ever feature in the Premier League but it has been a stronghold for Bournemouth this season with 28 points from 18 games. Eddie Howe’s side have earned 67% of their league points on home soil this season and their excellent home record shows no sign of slowing down with three wins and just one defeat in the last five matches.

Burnley have not mathematically secured safety yet but, with them sitting six points above the drop-zone as well as a vastly superior goal difference to the other relegation-threatened sides, they have all but guaranteed Premier League football next season.

The Clarets have based their season on defensive solidity  and their record of 51 conceded in 36 is admirable for a newly-promoted side. Additionally, in their last five matches against teams outside the top seven, they have kept four clean sheets. Burnley have struggled a bit in the final third this campaign and that will be something they will look to improve on next season, however, with four goals in their last two matches, there are signs of potential in that department.

Another thing that manager Sean Dyche will be looking at improving next season is the club’s away form which is the second-worst in the league with just seven points taken from 18 matches. Their recent away win at Crystal Palace was Burnley’s first victory away from Turf Moor this season.

Burnley might be in decent form at the moment but, given Bournemouth are on a good run of their own, particularly at home, I expect the latter to come out on top here, scoring a couple of goals in the process. ‘Bournemouth to Win & Over 1.5 Goals’ is worth supporting at 13/10.
