Barcelona v Atletico Madrid

Barcelona definitely didn’t take the match against Real Madrid very seriously. I haven’t seen Messi, Suarez and Neymar so loose and unmotivated for quite a time.  I think, the Blaugrana would have lost even to Malaga or Real Sociedad last Saturday.

However, the things are likely to change in the match against Atletico Madrid.  Camp Nou will see very different Barca that will try to solve everything before the trip to Vicente Calderon. And when they want it, no one can stop them. That’s why I’m suggesting a -1.0 Asian handicap on the home team here. With Godin just recovered from an injury and Gimenez in question, their defence won’t be a concrete wall.

Bayern v Benfica

Bayern_Inside

The lack of motivation was present in the recent matches of Bayern Munchen in Germany, too. They look as if they are not interested in roughing up their opponents at home, preferring to pass the ball around till the final whistle. But in the match against Benfica we will see motivated Bayern. I expect something resembling the last year’s quarterfinals against Porto. Bayern won’t be interested in postponing their progress to the semifinals, where anything could happen, and will confidently beat Benfica. So, you should go for an even bigger Asian handicap: -2.0 for the home team. If there could be any doubts about the Spanish clash, I believe that Benfica have got nothing to surprise Bayern with.
