Schumacher is ready to replace Leclerc or Sainz in case of force majeure
Schumacher, as a member of Ferrari’s youth academy, is one of the Italian team’s reserves. Should Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz be forced to miss a Grand Prix during the season for whatever reason, Ferrari could in theory call on either Schumacher, Robert Shwartzman, or Antonio Giovinazzi to replace him.

I think I understand very well how all the racing procedures work. So yes, I would be glad to have the opportunity to prove myself and show Ferrari what I’m worth, said Schumacher.
