Last season, Manchester City secured the title on the final day with a come-from-behind victory against Aston Villa. This term, City clinched their third successive title earlier when Arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest.

Guardiola’s team celebrated their achievement with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea, followed by lifting the Premier League trophy.

Guardiola now aims to surpass more of Ferguson’s records, who has achieved three consecutive titles on two occasions. Guardiola had previously won two titles before Liverpool interrupted City’s run in the 2019-20 season.

City’s focus now shifts to the Champions League, with the head coach aiming to win the elusive trophy against Inter in the final on June 10th, to complete a treble alongside the league and potentially the FA Cup.
