The Reds faced Palace at Anfield on Monday and played a 1-1 draw as Wilfried Zaha scored for Patrick Viera’s side, while Luis Diaz equalized for Jurgen Klopp’s side. During the game, Nunez received a straight red card for headbutting Joachim Andersen in the 57th minute.

This was the Reds’ second in a row draw of the season as Klopp’s side are currently 12th in the league table with 2 points after 2 games.

Following the game, Nunez has taken to Twitter to react to his red card.

He wrote: “I am aware of the ugly attitude I had. I’m here to learn from my mistakes and it won’t happen again.”

The Reds newcomer will now serve a three-match Premier League ban and will miss Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Manchester United on Monday, August 22.
